Hydroponics is a method of growing plants without soil or in soil- less aggregates. this method has proven effective in raising vegetables and crops for home and commercial uses.. Hydroponic gardening uses considerably less water than soil gardening, because of the constant reuse the nutrient solutions. due to lack of necessity, fewer pesticides are used on hydroponic crops. since hydroponic gardening systems use no topsoil, topsoil erosion isn't even an issue.. The word hydroponics comes from the roots “hydro”, meaning water, and “ponos”, meaning labor, this method of gardening does not use soil. instead of soil, hydroponic gardeners use different types of growing media , like coconut coir , vermiculite, perlite, and more..
Aeroponics is an improvement in artificial life support for non-damaging plant support, seed germination, environmental control and rapid unrestricted growth when compared with hydroponics and drip irrigation techniques that have been used for decades by traditional agriculturalists.. Hydroponics is a technology for growing plants in nutrient solutions (water containing fertilizers) with or without the use of an artifi cial medium (sand, gravel, vermiculite, rockwool, perlite, peatmoss. coir, or sawdust) to provide mechanical support.. This allows the same amount of water that was used to water a plant in soil for a day to water a plant in a hydroponics setup for days or weeks at a time. you can save around 90% of the water used in soil gardening simply by switching to a hydroponic setup..
